Contract duration: ASAP and three years until April 2027
Location: Stavanger
Main Function:
Develop, administer and manage contracts, contract and procurement strategies, procedures and other project
documents and work processes necessary for the contract and procurement activities in the project as relevant.
Ensure that relevant corporate guidelines, procedures and systems are adhered to.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute contract and procurement strategies. Administer contracts until completion and close-out.
- In liaison with Supply Chain Management function, ensure relevant corporate guidelines, procedures and systems are adhered to.
- Ensure that formulation and bidding of contracts in compliance with requirements.
- Provide guidance and advice as to contract issues.
- In liaison with project control function, ensure alignment between contracting and budget / schedule constraints.
- Promote knowledge sharing – share own project experiences and seek knowledge from other projects / organizations.
- Provide input into the close-out report for the project.
During Bidding and Negotiations:
- Prepare and execute contract strategy, tendering and contract award.
- Lead evaluation team.
- Prepare and present the commercial evaluation of bidders.
- Be pro-active regarding development of advantageous commercial arrangements (i.e. incentives, new compensation format, etc.).
- Compliance with all relevant governing procurement regulations / legislation during the process of establishing the contract.
- Update all required data in Supply Chain systems.
During Administration of the Contract:
- Prepare and issue amendments and change orders.
- Process all claims and disputes.
- Maintain relevant commercial data in applicable systems (SAP & GEP SMART).
- Ensure that all commercial aspects are known and understood by relevant personnel.
- Liaise with Legal Department when required.
- Conduct formal contract close out activities, including preparation of final accounts, issuing of certificates, preparing contract handover to operations, closing out orders in SAP, etc.
Authorities:
Expenditure authority as defined within the limits of the applicable BU ALM Authorities.
Qualification Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. (Engineering / Economics) or comparable education.
- Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.
Experience:
- 5-10 years experience in contract management in the oil & gas industry, preferably within the Capital Projects arena.
- Resourceful initiative taker, good communicator.
- Generally skilled in relevant IT applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Execution of subsea and topside modification projects
