Description about project/department:
Raia is an Brazilian FPSO greenfield project in the detailed engineering and execution phase. The engineering and construction activities will be split over several locations around the world. This specific role will be following-up construction activities at Dyna-Mac Yard in Singapore.
Description about task and responsibilities:
• Act as safety ambassador at yard • Be visible and act as a role model for safety, quality and collaboration and deliver according to project and company values including I am Safety. • Be a role model ofthe client’s Code of Conduct. • Ensure that stop of work authority are duly understood by subcontractors. • Lead and manage company Elektro & Instrument inspectors by coaching, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support. • Contribute to and follow up risk systematically in project internal system, taking proper mitigating actions to prevent delays or any quality issue. The position might be required to attend in regular risk management meetings. • Ensure project specification and Company requirements are clearly understood by Contractor/Subcontractor and provide sufficient support in case of need. • Ensure that Contractors personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements. • Monitor that contractor’ construction and quality control departments follow the required procedures, specifications, and standards to ensure that all quality requirements are met. • Contribute to planning and execution of assurance activities. Make sure contractor to established, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all piping work adheres to project specifications and industry standards. • Ensure the required system for material traceability is in place and properly used and maintained by contractor. • Monitor protection and Preservation of Elektro & Instrument equipment through the whole project. • Ensure all working environment and material handling requirements are fulfilled. • Identify key HOLD/Witness points in ITP and attend accordingly in witness activities and tests. • Ensure that all test is carried out and documented in accordance with project requirements. • Ensure that all equipment incl. attachments are correctly installed. • Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and within project requirements. • Close collaboration with project. • Coordinate with other discipline leads (e.g., structural, mechanical, piping) to ensure seamless integration of Elektro & Instrument components with other systems and on the topsides and contribute to resolving interface issues in a timely manner. • Follow-up MODEC’s utilization of their completion tool according to project procedures. • Actively work with contractor to ensure that mechanical completion is achieved with absolute minimum of punch listed items. • Review and comment, monitor and attend in system/subsystem walkdown as part of MC process. • Follow up and verify contractors closing of punch items as required. • Provide information as required so that Contractor can execute his work in the most efficient way. • Verify progress and quality performance. Report deviations and highlight problem areas to construction manager. Identify outstanding issues such as schedule delay, potential claims, permitting issues and provide input for mitigation plan in a timely fashion and closely monitor the improvement. • Ensure efficient collaboration and experience transfer from previous project; involve discipline network and professional ladder as necessary and regular dialogue and cooperation with other project construction sites. • Ensure that fabrication documentation, data books, etc. are delivered as required by the project scope. • Contribute to seamless transfer from topsides site to integration phase, the “volume” of these Equinor activities will be based upon risk assessments. • Identify and contribute to handle relevant change proposals and requests to depart from a requirement in TORG and contract (non-conformance requests (NCRs)/DISP) within set timeframes. • Familiarize with Contractor’s Site/technical Query system and follow-up closely. • Cooperate, as required, on work permits and SJA’s processes. • Ensure planning and coordination with all other project activities to ensure an optimal use of resources. • Flexibility for working hours outside of base location core business hours.
Competence Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent - Minimum 7-10 years’ relevant experience from preparatory and execution phase - Longer relevant experience may compensate for less formal education - Knowledge to Equinor and the Equinor way of working is and advantage - Good Elektro & Instrument knowledge - Experience from Elektro & Instrument engineering - Construction yard experience from offshore platform or FPSO projects - Leadership experience is an advantage - Good team player with high HSE standards and focus
