Description about project/department:
The PDP PRD FE Subsea Facilities (SF) sector is a competence and resource unit that is responsible for all subsea facilities personnel in PRD’s project portfolio. Our sector's main task is to provide projects with engineers, task- and project managers and to develop our personnel's competence across the technical disciplines and within project development, including leadership. Our personnel work in projects within oil and gas, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and power from shore in all phases of the projects, i.e. the feasibility, concept, FEED and execution phases. The sector is organized into six departments with approximately 30 employees in each department. In addition, there are four leading advisors within relevant disciplines in the sector. The sector’s employees are responsible engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) within the SURF disciplines in project teams: Subsea production systems and subsea processing systems, including subsea control systems. Umbilicals, subsea cables, and subsea power cables. Risers and flexible pipes. Flowlines, located both onshore and offshore.
Description about task and responsibilities:
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in and be responsible for engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of pipelines. This includes the following: Follow-up of relevant contractors. Screening, concept development and early-phase studies for new projects. Scope definitions/descriptions and selection of relevant technical requirements. Tendering and evaluation activities. Preparation of technical documents for project sanction, studies, and contract tendering. Sporadic offshore work.
Competence Requirements:
Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree, however preferably master’s. Degrees in mechanical, marine or civil engineering are the most relevant. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications. Minimum five years of relevant experience. Longer experience preferred. Background within Pipeline EPCI and/or Pipeline Commissioning. Good understanding of project development, and experience therein. Oral and written proficiency in English. Norwegian language proficiency is not a requirement. Personal qualities: Team player. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to deliver results. Ability to lead others. Self-driven. Structured and systematic. Commercial mindset. High focus on safety, sustainability, ethics and the Equinor values: Open, collaborative, courageous and caring. Flexibility with regards to travelling in Norway and abroad and taking on sporadic offshore work. Interest in taking on expatriate positions.
