Location: Stavanger with sporadic trips offshore
Duties and responsibilities
- Independently design wells to meet the well objectives and in compliance with governing regulations and client's processes and procedures
- Prepare D&W activity plans according to the well construction process
- Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the designs
- Optimize all well activities and well design for optimum operational performance
- Plan and perform QA & QC of supplier's services, studies and equipment deliveries, including audits and investigations
- Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations to improve operational performance and capture learnings
- Provide technical input to and evaluation of tenders and contracts as required.
- Active mentor for junior professionals and contributor to external and internal professional networks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor' degree in petroleum engineering or similar relevant education required. MSc is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in well engineering and drilling operations.
- Required training / certification to travel sporadic offshore
Experience:
- Relevant experience and technical understanding of planning and execution of offshore drilling and P&A operations
- Experience from subsea development wells, including early phase work. MLT experience desired.
- Good knowledge of regulations and relevant standards.
- Extensive experience with well planning and well planning software.
- Sound technical understanding of development and exploration drilling, HSE and field operation and commercial aspects
- Relevant offshore experience is desired
- Experience with contract management and tender evaluation
